Hello, friends—

This is the sixth workbook post in our Growing Green series. If you’d like to review previous posts, you’ll find them on the Growing Green tab. In this issue, we’ll take a look at the history of the Star, the tarot card associated with Aquarius. I’ll suggest several writing/reading projects for you, and we’ll see what’s going on in the kitchen. This post is a little briefer than usual (it’s been a hectic week) but it’s still too much all at once. So choose one thing to work on now and come back to the rest later. It’ll always be here for you, online.

If Ruby Wilcox were with us today (instead of back in Pecan Springs, where she’s teaching her astrology class at the Crystal Cave), she’d warn us that this Aquarius season has a special resonance. It began a week ago, with a Pluto-Sun conjunction on January 21, on the same day the Trump administration opened for business. Pluto/Sun in Aquarius represents major power shifts in collective governance, breaking away from one kind of rule and shifting to another, with different economic, technological, and social structures emerging—upending established policy and practice. Sound familiar? A preview of things to come?

Lots to ponder here. For now, let’s look at Aquarius in the tarot, and consider how the image on this card has changed over the centuries. And as usual, I’m available to respond to your comments, discuss ideas, and think out loud together in our comment/conversation space.
